Thanks for a Great Main Street Event

The performers spent many hours working on their acts. They choreographed, practiced, dressed in their finest costumes and traveled to Lake Wales. When their show time came and the music rose, they poured their hearts into their performance. Their only compensation was seeing the audience smile and hearing the applause. They did it for the love of their art.

Lake Wales Main Street would like to thank all the performers who made the World Dance Bazaar such a wonderful event. The marketplace lit up with smiles and dazzling color as soon as the performers began to appear. And what a show it was!

The Lake Wales Care Center generously loaned chairs for the audience and the Youth Coffee House for performers to use as a comfortable backstage. Lake Wales Main Street could not have provided an entire afternoon of quality, free entertainment without our sponsors, Peterson & Myers, P.A., CenterState Bank, and Bunting, Tripp & Ingley CPA firm.

People came to the World Dance Bazaar that might not otherwise have visited Lake Wales. They left with a positive impression of our town that we hope will make them want to visit again. Successful events are a way to enhance tourism, economic development and community pride.

Main Street will host the World Dance Bazaar again next year. We hope to see you there!

•The Main Street website, www.LakeWalesMainStreet.com is updated every month. It contains interactive information, including our monthly Progress Reports.

•You are invited to be a Main Street friend on Facebook.com. 

•We are starting to film the Virtual Tour of Lake Wales businesses. Look for Main Street to start promoting the video tour later this year.

Lake Wales is a quaint and friendly town with a lovely downtown historic district. Over the next year, you’ll be able to watch Main Street go high tech while working to preserve our quaint and friendly hometown atmosphere. Just as performers work year-round to perfect their art, Main Street is continuously working to build a stronger, more effective organization and a vibrant downtown to better serve the Lake Wales community.  We can use your help!
